Performance
The new VW Taos is powered by a turbocharged 1.5-liter 4-cylinder engine that generates 174 horsepower and operates with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive versions of the Taos come with different rear suspension systems. Front-wheel-drive versions have a torsion beam configuration and all-wheel drive models give you a more advanced multi-link design. The time from zero to 60 mph in the new Taos is 7.4 seconds and fuel economy is excellent at up to 36 MPG on Cleveland, TN highways.
