What's new for 2025?
Driver assist and active safety features are now standard on all trims. The Tiguan S model gets a leatherette-wrapped steering wheel, an automatically-dimming rearview mirror and rain-sensing windshield wipers. An updated infotainment interface and wireless charging pad have also been added.
Performance
Every new 2025 VW Tiguan is powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline four-cylinder engine that produces 184 horsepower and 221 pound-feet of torque. The powertrain is teamed up with an eight-speed automatic transmission along with standard front-wheel drive and VW's 4MOTION all-wheel drive system as an available upgrade. The front-wheel drive version of the Tiguan can take you from zero to 60 mph in 8.1 seconds and all-wheel drive varitations require 8.6 seconds.
Fuel economy for front-wheel drive models comes in at 24 MPG in the city and 31 MPG on the highway. With all-wheel drive, the numbers drop slightly to 22 MPG in the city and 29 MPG on the highway.
Exterior and Interior
The Tiguan's exterior has a reserved but tasteful design. LED headlights and taillights provide good visibility as you drive around Dalton GA. The new Tiguan is one of the only models in its segment with an available third row although it's important to note that if you add that option, legroom will be tighter in the first and second rows. The interior layout is simple and the Tiguan comes standard with six-way manually-adjustable heated front seats with cloth upholstery. In upper trim levels, you can add a power-adjustable driver's seat, leather upholstery and a panoramic sunroof.
Technology
The 2025 Volkswagen Tiguan comes with a standard 6.5-inch touch screen, Bluetooth, a Wi-Fi hotspot and a six-speaker stereo system. Other standard features include an 8-inch digital instrument cluster, push-button start, and proximity keyless entry. Available tech upgrades include an 8-inch touch screen, satellite radio, wireless device charging, a 10.25-inch digital instrument display, and dual-zone automatic climate control.
Safety
The 2025 VW Tiguan comes equipped with standard safety features that include blind-spot monitoring, a rearview camera, rear cross-traffic alert, forward collision warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-departure warning and adaptive cruise control. Available safety upgrades include a surround-view camera system and automatic high-beam headlights to help keep you your family safer on highways around Soddy-Daisy.
Trim Levels
The 2025 Volkswagen Tiguan is available in four trim levels: S, SE, SE R-Line Black, and SEL R-Line. The S comes with cloth upholstery, heated front seats and smartphone connectivity for both Apple and Android devices. The SE adds an eight-way power-adjustable driver's seat and an 8-inch touch screen. The SE R-Line Black gives you a panoramic sunroof and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. The SEL R-Line adds genuine leather upholstery and ventilated front seats.
